Office Kitchen Routine Clean

It’s more and more common to find a kitchen or kitchenette in most offices. This is a great thing for employees but also a huge job to keep clean. Let’s face it not everyone hired is going to have the same habits and that means you’re going to get some people that just don’t associate with the word clean. You’ll see the stray dishes on the counter, food dating back to the ice age left in the fridge and even worse left over food just thrown into the sink. Sounds gross, but it’s the reality of what many offices have to deal with.

It’s important to set the ground rules from the start to ensure the kitchen is maintained and clean at all times. Our favorite thing is having employees label their dishes because they know if it’s not it’s going to be discarded on Friday by the cleaning crew. This helps keep any items from going sour and lingering in the fridge for extended periods of time. Another simple but effective rule is to have employees rinse and place their own dishes into the dishwasher, it only takes a second and everyone’s only responsible for themselves.

Keeping this space clean can go a long way for removing odors from your office, not to mention your office guests will thank you for it.
